About me

Economist turned
Data Engineer

I'm Carlos Pulido Rosas — based in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. I bridge the gap between economic analysis and modern data infrastructure, building systems that scale and insights that matter.

My path started in Economics, where I learned to think in systems, incentives, and data. That foundation pushed me toward data engineering — building the infrastructure that makes analysis possible at scale.

Today I work across the full modern data stack: from ingesting raw data with Python pipelines, transforming it in Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks, to orchestrating workflows with Apache Airflow and deploying infrastructure across multiple clouds.

Currently pursuing a Master's degree, focusing on how AI and automation are reshaping labor markets — combining ML, PySpark, and economic modeling.
